A vine stock in section!

This vine stock sculpture is a unique handmade creation in France! It is indeed very difficult to make a longitudinal cut of a vine stock because it is very often hollow.
We had the idea to go further in the discovery of the vine wood and the result is amazing for such a length. There are still additional steps such as cutting, planing and sanding to obtain this flat surface.

I don’t know if it’s the same for us, but in the end the wood looks like cherry wood.
